We are pleased to announce three new appointments in the School of the Environment.
Professor Karen Ing has been appointed as the Interim Director of the School of the Environment from July 1 to August 31, 2018 following the end of Professor Kimberly Strong’s five-year term as Director on June 30. Professor Ing has a long history with the School and its predecessor units and previously served as Interim Academic Associate Director and as Undergraduate Coordinator for the Centre for Environment. She brings considerable insight into the School’s programs and current status.
July 1 also brings several other changes. The position of Academic Associate Director will be replaced with two new positions to better distribute effort and responsibilities.
Jessica D’eon becomes our Undergraduate Associate Director. Jessica is an environmental chemist and Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream in the Department of Chemistry. She has been involved in our Environmental Science Major from the start, including teaching ENV233 for several years.
Clare Wiseman becomes our Graduate Associate Director. Clare’s expertise is in environmental health and she is an Associate Professor in the School of the Environment. She has been the Coordinator of our Environment & Health Graduate Collaborative Specialization for many years.
