Why did you choose to study in the School of the Environment?
I liked that the School of the Environment offered an interdisciplinary program that touched on both of my favorite subjects; environment and toxicology. I also liked how much freedom I had in course selection and the wide variety of interesting classes that I could take. Also, this department is incredibly friendly and supportive of students!
What is your favorite memory from your time with the School?
My favorite memory from my time with the School has been working with Dr. Miriam Diamond on a number of exciting research projects. It has been a tremendous pleasure to connect with so many other incredible scientists, and to see the real-life positive impacts of our research.
How have you been affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic? What are your thoughts about the future?
The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly taken a toll on university students. It was challenging to adapt to classes being moved online, but I am very optimistic for the future. Since classes have gone back in-person, I have made lots of new friends! I am excited for future students to be welcomed on campus, be able to attend their classes in-person, and meet their fellow environment peers and professors.
